Our Surgery Packages
Southwest Bariatric Surgery Group only offers obesity surgery as a comprehensive treatment package, covering your pre-op assessment, surgery, hospital stay and lifetime follow-up care afterwards for band and bypass patients, or for the six months duration of your intragastic balloon.
Our current package prices are as follows:
- Intragastric balloon - £4,500
- Gastric band
- BMI less than 49kg/m2 - £7,000
- BMI 49 - 60kg/m2 (or you are considered to be a ‘high risk’ patient for other medical reasons) - £7,600
- Gastric bypass
- BMI less than 49kg/m2 - £10,500.00
- BMI 49 - 60kg/m2 (or you are considered to be a ‘high risk’ patient for other medical reasons) - £12,500 - £14,000.
A deposit is payable at the time of your assessment appointments and the balance due prior to your admission for surgery. The band and bypass surgery packages include:
- Pre-op assessment with surgeon, anaesthetist and dietitian
- One hour consultation with psychologist (optional)
- Surgery fees and hospital costs
- Regular appointments during your fist two years post-op with no limit on the number of appointments (or the number of band adjustments)
- One annual appointment thereafter (which may include a band adjustment as appropriate)
Charges are made for elective band adjustments (i.e. for reasons other than weight loss or to correct adjustments made by other parties).
Please note that as with all medical treatments, there is no absolute guarantee that you will achieve your desired weight loss with obesity surgery. Failing to do so can be due to a variety of reasons including poor eating behaviours or problems arising from your surgery. The cost of the treatment offered is based on you having keyhole surgery (band or bypass), following a normal recovery and not developing problems. Any additional treatment required will incur additional charges.
SW Bariatric does not offer loans and we recommend you speak to your bank or another financial institution if your require finance assistance. Payment for your treatment package is required, in full, prior to surgery – we accept cash, cheques, bank transfers and credit/debit cards.
